White Balance
White balance is the process of removing unrealistic colour casts, so that items which are appear white to the human eye, are rendered white in your recorded images. Proper camera white balance has to take into account the "colour temperature" of a light source, which refers to the relative warmth or coolness of white light.
The higher the colour temperature, the more "blue" the light source is

Rules of Thirds
The rule of thirds acts as a guideline applied to the process of composing visual images. The basic principle behind the rule of thirds is to imagine breaking an image down into equal thirds, both horizontally and vertically.
The important compositional elements are placed along these lines or their intersections.
